EMPLOYMENT HISTORY
January 2009-Present - Glen Print, Crossmaglen, Graphic Designer.
May 2007-January 2009 – River Media Newspaper Group, Monaghan Post & Cavan Post – Senior Graphic Designer - This important role consisted of many jobs involved with the production and design of a newspaper. Although primarily a design role consisting of mainly the production of customer adverts from small classifieds right up to full page property and motor ads, there would also be a lot of page make-up, advert placement and general management involved. Employment ended because all regional Designers were laid off due to staff cut-backs.
Oct 2006-May 2007 - Docsol Media Centre, Newry - Graphic Designer/Business Manager - This was a design and multimedia consultation role geared towards business customers. Employment ended because of downsizing of business.
Oct 2003-Oct 2006 - Self Employed, Bristol/Leeds - Video Editor/Graphic Designer - From being self-employed I’ve improved in many important skills such as self-discipline, time management and customer service. I have also become more professional in my approach to business, making sure my own targets and standards were constantly met. Employment ended because of relocation to Ireland.
Jun 2000-Oct 2003 - G E Media Ltd, Bristol - Video Editor/Graphic Designer - As the Video Editor/Graphic Designer of a Video production company I was in charge of all the graphic design and video post-production. I had to work efficiently by myself and with the production team on numerous high profile projects and to strict deadlines. I have worked with many clients including Hewlett Packard, Orange and EDS to name a few. Employment ended because of relocation to Leeds.

SKILLS
Throughout my media and graphics career I have, and continue to use many creative software packages. However, when designing I primarily work on Adobe CS3 (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop). I can also design using Quark. I generally work on Mac OSX but am just as comfortable on PC’s.
I also hold a full driving license.
HOBBIES & INTERESTS
In my spare time I enjoy sports such as swimming, squash, surfing, skiing, snowboarding and any other sport beginning with ‘S’. I also love animation, business, computing, film, music, the outdoors and socialising.
